Surveys

As RICS regulated chartered building surveyors we offer a full range of services to suit the differing needs of our clients, whether they are homeowners, landlords, contractors or developers. This includes full building surveys, structural building surveys, measured surveys and bespoke surveys. The type of survey needed will depends on the a variety of things, including the age of the property, we are always happy to advise on the most appropriate survey for your requirements.

Party Wall Surveys & Agreements

The Party Wall Act places rights and responsibilities regarding work taking place on or near a Party structure, whatever side of the wall you are. The Act comes into effect if someone is planning to do work on a relevant structure, having Planning Permission and/or Building Regulation Approval does not negate the requirements under the Party Wall Act. We are experienced Party Wall Surveyors, this is a complex issue and we are always happy to offer initial advise without formally instructed.

We are able to help your project through the process of building control approval, including providing technical specifications and plans. 

Design and Planning services

The provision of planning advice is an important part of our service provision to clients. We can also provide advice on how to alter or extend your property including carrying out project management of the works. We often undertake a range of both commercial and residential projects including extensions, loft conversions and refurbishments, our practice is regulated by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors

 

Dilapidation Surveys

Often a lease requires a buildings to be put in the condition of its initial construction and has no relation to the condition when a tenant takes on a property. We are able to provide Schedules of Conditions which can be attached to Leases so that the buildings condition is highlighted at the start of a tenancy. We can act for either Landlords or Tenants in dilapidation Claims, particularly at the end of the lease, and also are able to advise on improvement repairs, provide specifications and undertake Contract Supervision for any works which are needed.
